This month is African Heritage Month

In 1968, the first black Member of Parliament was elected - The Honourable Lincoln Alexander from Hamilton, Ontario. He also became the first black cabinet member minister and the first black Lieutenant Governor in Canada.

African Heritage Month Assembly

There will be an assembly today in the gym honouring African Heritage Month.  We will begin to call students down at 12:45 so that we can start as close to 1:00 as possible.

African Heritage Month Reader’s Theatre
Students in the Reader’s Theatre are asked to meet on the stage at 11:45 today so that we have a full hour to practice before the performance. 

50/50 Tickets

A reminder to grade 9 students this is the last week to sell tickets.  This Friday is the last draw.

Yearbook

The yearbook meeting scheduled for Thursday will now take place at lunch instead of after school. Please eat as soon as possible and meet in the computer lab as soon as you are finished eating.
